They are leading positive change in our mountain headwaters with monitoring, education, and restoration initiatives, demonstrating a path forward for the future. This event at 7:30 p.m. is part of the Crowsnest Conservation Society's Silent Auction and Annual General Meeting. A light supper will be free for members. Non-members will pay $15. PPK Ski Society BBQ

Another ski season lies ahead and, as usual, we’re ready to kick it off with the PPK Ski Society BBQ! Proceeds from the BBQ will go to the ski society, which provides program opportunities at the hill throughout the season. For example, things like the PPK Nourishes Program, No Pressure Race Series, Slush Cup (and much more!) wouldn’t be able to happen without the ski society. We hope to see you at the lodge for some burgers and hot dogs!

Ski with Santa

Our contacts at the North Pole have informed us that Santa would like to visit Pass Powderkeg again this year before his Christmas deliveries! Be sure to bring your kiddos and their ski or snowboard gear, as Santa will be shredding the slopes and would love to have some friends join him. The jolly fella will also have some chocolate on hand to give out! While he’s exploring Pass Powderkeg, Santa’s elves will be set up on the lodge patio with a hot chocolate bar. They’ll be serving it up with all the fixins; whipped cream, chocolate shavings and crushed candy cane! Hot chocolate will be by donation (cash only) to the PPK Ski Society. Thank you to CNP 40 for helping us host Santa this year!

No Pressure Race Series

Time: 6:00 pm - 7:45 pm
Location: Pass Powderkeg Ski Area

Ever wanted to try your hand at racing just for fun? Now’s your chance! Our No Pressure Race Series is a non-competitive way for you to try it out in a fun and encouraging environment. Racers to meet at the lodge to check in at 6:00 PM. Inspection to begin at 6:15 and then racing to begin at 6:30 and end at 7:45. There will be a coach on site but the focus is FUN! Skiing and snowboarding permitted. This event is FREE with the purchase of your lift ticket. Thank you to the PPK Ski Society for their assistance in running this program. Rules: 1. Participants must sign a waiver prior to racing 2. Bibs must be picked up from the lodge during check-in 3. Helmets are mandatory for all participants 4. Registration will be capped at 40 to ensure everyone gets a minimum of 2 runs 5. No speed suits permitted

Uphill Series

Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: Pass Powderkeg Ski Hill

Welcome to the first Uphill Night of the season! The theme for tonight is a blast back to everyones favourite childhood racing game, Mario Kart! Giant gold coins will be hidden around the hill for participants to find. Whoever collects the most coins and brings them back to the lodge wins an extra entry into the prize draw. A waiver must be signed in order to participate! If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign for you.

Jersey Day at PPK

This year marks our 2nd annual Jersey Day and we’re ready for another awesome event. Wear your favourite jersey to the hill on Jan. 18 to participate in all kinds of fun! By wearing a jersey to PPK, you’ll receive 10% off all food and beverage orders (alcohol not included), as well as the opportunity to participate in our trivia contest. Our staff will be keeping an eye on the slopes for jersey-wearing skiers and snowboarders to ask sports-related questions to. Answer correctly and you’ll win a prize! Don’t have a jersey but still want to participate? No worries! We’ll have prize draws that anyone can enter. The fun won’t stop after the sun goes down, either! Castle Crossing Dental has graciously sponsored our night skiing on Jan. 18. This means that lift tickets are FREE by cash donation starting at 6:00 pm. Please note that youth will need a parent to sign a waiver to receive a free ticket. We would like to thank the Calgary Flames and Lethbridge Hurricanes for their prize donations this year, and Castle Crossing Dental for sponsoring the night skiing!

Join us for our second sponsored Saturday Night Skiing of the season. Thanks to the generous people over at Pincher Creek Co-op, lift tickets will be FREE by cash donation after 6:00 pm on Feb. 1! All donations from this evening will go to Crowsnest Cando for its Revive the Roxy project. Please note that a waiver must be signed in order to receive your free ticket. Those under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign for them.

Uphill Series

Time: 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
Location: Pass Powderkeg Ski Hill

Its time for our second Uphill Night of the season! Uphill participants will be given a bingo card of things they may see around PPK, such as the electric monkey carving, a skier wearing a neon jacket, a grey jay flying through the forest, etc. Once someone finds enough things on their bingo card to make a line, they race back to the lodge and the first one to return wins an extra entry into the prize draw. A waiver must be signed in order to participate! If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign for you.

Human Dog Sled Race

It’s time for another edition of the Human Dog Sled Race here at Pass Powderkeg! Join us March 1 at 12:30pm for some fun in the spring sun. Here’s some details you’ll need to know: -Event is FREE to enter! -Registration will open on February 22 and will close at 12:00pm on the day of the event. You can sign up at Guest Services or by emailing bookings@passpowderkeg.com . -Waivers must be signed before participating, no exceptions! If you are under 18, a parent or guardian needs to sign the waiver for you. -Teams are to be made up of 3 people over the age of 10. The categories this year are Kids (10-12), Teen (13-17), Adult (18+), and Family (any combination of the first three categories). Prizes will be awarded to the winning team in each category.

Its the final Uphill Night of the year! Participants will be given a map with co-ordinates. At every location, there will be a card for each person stating something in the immediate area they have to take a photo of. The first person back that has completed all the challenges wins. A waiver must be signed in order to participate! If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign for you.
