Pass Powderkeg Ski Society: Board Member Recruitment
Who We Are:
The Pass Powderkeg Ski Society is a group of volunteers dedicated to nurturing community spirit around our beloved local ski hill. Our mission is to elevate the winter sports experience at Pass Powderkeg for both the residents and visitors of Crowsnest Pass and increase accessibility of skiing & snowboarding.
Role of the Board:
● Community Representatives: As board members, we champion the interests of the ski
community, ensuring that the interests and needs of skiers and snowboarders are heard.
● Engagement Leaders: Our board actively engages with the community to promote
winter sports, increase participation, and gather feedback to improve the Pass Powderkeg Ski experience.
● Event Champions: We spearhead and support events and programs that foster the
idea of a welcoming ski community that is accessible to everyone.
● Strategic Advisors: We provide strategic guidance on the development and operation
of the Pass Powderkeg.
Commitment:
● Committee member terms are three years. Meetings are held monthly. The PPK Ski society is made up of five members of the community and two members of Council.
We’re Looking For Individuals Who:
● Have a passion for winter sports and community development.
● Are willing to commit time and effort to the betterment of the Pass Powderkeg Ski Area
and its community.
